You haven't been hacked. I recommend doing a search on this forum for the term "configuration' doesn't exist" as the question has already been asked several times today already.

Thank you. I have just finished extensive research and hours on the phone with Go Daddy. I have started a new SQL database and uploaded a back up to that database. I have discovered that the table "configuration" is missing. Can I import a table from one database to another?

That's useful information. Have you done an upgrade recently, and if so, how?

And in answer to your question, yes you can. If you're using phpMyAdmin you can export a table and import it into the new database.
