Hello,
I was wondering if I could send e-mails (a newsletter announcing the opening of our store) to a mailing list I have.
As the shop is new there are no customers yet, I have a list of people I would like to send a launching newsletter to.
Can this be done through Zen cart or should I just send via outlook or something ?

As far as built-in functionality, Zen Cart only sends to known customers.
For sending mass mailings from your PC, I recommend a tool like GroupMail

Use it in conjunction with the Email Address Exporter to extract your actual customers, and you can handle all your mailings from one application..
