This has been bugging me for a while, how do you remove the "powered by Zencart" text in the footer?

Since there is no charge for the software or the support perhaps you could leave 'Powered by Zen Cart' in the footer. It helps the site with traffic and does not cost you anything.
Many consider this a professional courtesy.
