How to add multiple products to cart from product page.

    Hi,
I know that we can add attributes to tag along additional products to the main item in the product page. UNFORTUNATELY, we cannot change the quantity OR remove just that product from the cart (and we really want this product to be a separate item so it can be found in searches and have its own unique product id etc...)

    So here's my problem:
Say we have a Yoga Ball Kit AND Yoga Instructional DVD (both separate items).
From the Yoga Ball Kit Product Page, I want to use a checkbox so that when I click ADD TO CART, both items will be added to the cart.

Is there a way to do this from the PRODUCT PAGE?

In version 1.3XX, I know there is a multiple_products_cart_quantity form AND a single cart_quantity form.

What I was thinking is that we can just put the quantity input field of the Yoga DVD inside the Yoga Kit product page. And change the form action on the product page template... it sounds simple, BUT I haven't gotten it to work.

    Is there a better way?

    Any ideas?

    Thanks!!!

See the cross-sell module in the downloads section.

I believe that there might be another method but can not recall it right now.

Check the module and see what you think

    Thanks!
But just out of curiousity... is it even possible to modify product attribute quantities.

I'm trying to convince my client that you could add multiple quantities in a category page but they are set in having it done a certain way.

We are going to use the tabs module.
Basically what they want is put the the up-sells in one of the tabs. I'm not sure if this is possible with the Cross-Sell.

    Thanks for your help.

If you have the newest version of the tab modules it works perfectly with the cross sell mod.

I dunno if you can achieve what you are trying with the 2 boxes, sorry, but I do know that those 2 mods work great :)

I personally like CrossSell... but client's mind is set. They really want to be able add multiple products from a product page... Maybe I'll just have figure out a way to modify the catalogue page so it has tabs and looks like a product page *gulp*

I did try the CrossSell mod though:

    Many thanks!

Say we have a Yoga Ball Kit AND Yoga Instructional DVD (both separate items).
From the Yoga Ball Kit Product Page, I want to use a checkbox so that when I click ADD TO CART, both items will be added to the cart.
For the example you listed, I think that this could be accomplished with attributes.

Normally, this is for sizes & colors, but can also be used for say a PC with addons like the video card, memory etc. Each addition having either no cost or additional cost.

So you would have the Yoga Ball as the item and either radio buttons or drop down to add the DVD with the associated increase in price.

    Thanks Kobra!

But I have found a diffrent solution:
Basically, I used a JavaScript to change the name of the form.
So that the "cart_quantity" form is renamed "multiple_products_cart_quantity"

This way, I just copy the form fields of the multiple products cart quantity form you get from the CATEGORY or SEARCH PAGE and paste it in one of the tabs in the product page:

    @ momopopo

Please check the image of the header and in the upper right hand corner.
Under Firefox, the live help seems all "open minded" or shift off.
