Default Attributes Controller - Maximum Hit

I have setup option name/option value, for example:
    Option Name = Color
Option Value = red, blue, green, orange, etc, (more than 50 colors)

In the Attributes Controller, all the option values are not being displayed, it seemed that I have reached the maximum it can display. I'm adding swatches to each attribute and I need to access all of the combinations.

Is there a way to increase the attributes displayed in the Attribute Controller?

    Thank You.

There are no maximums on the number of Option Values that you can setup for an Option Name ...

Check to ensure that you assigned the Option Values to the right Option Name ...

The only time you will see a "limit" is on drawing the dropdown when on a very slow server with a huge number of Attributes where the full page cannot be rendered before the time out occures ...

    Thanks for your response.
I've managed to rectify the issue by changing value in Configuration->Maximum Values->Product Attributes-Attributes Controller Display.

That is just a display value per screen ... that is not a limit on the number of Option Values per Option Names ...

Are there a maximum total amount of option names and option values the program will allow?
I may have 10's of thousands of option values if I set up my new website a certain way.
I just need to know if it will work ok.

    thanks,

    Sounds a bit excessive ...

Perhaps if you define what it is you are trying to do we could give you some suggestions ...

If you have 10,000 variations, attributes probably aren't the way you want to go. How about another mechanism to choose between the 10,0000, then have an attribute (text field) to capture that choice. Might be easier. For instance, if you allow the customer to select colors between 0x000000 - 0xFFFFFF, you aren't going to have 16M attributes; you're going to have a color choosing mechanism and a mechanism to capture the choice.
