2 Questions - Category on Main page? and Two Stores?

Hi,

I want to use a category instead of "Featured" or "New" products on the main page of my store. Can someone help? I suppose I can just point the link of the page to the category, but it looks a little messy...

Also, I need to have two separate stores within one site, basically these are just separating the types of products in two, and each one will be linked by a separate menu item on the website. I do not want to install a second zencart instance... Can I set it up to only show certain categories from one link, and then the rest of the categories from another link?

There is a setting in the Configuration ... Layout Settings ... for always showing a Category on the main page ...

Categories - Always Show on Main Page
Always Show Categories on Main Page
0= off
1= on
Default category can be set to Top Level or a Specific Top Level

This is then controlled by the Category ID set in:

Main Page - Opens with Category
0= Top Level Categories
Or enter the Category ID#
Note: Sub Categories can also be used Example: 3_10
