Problem with images!!!

I recently installed the 'ask a question' module and I since have been having a problem displaying images from: tpl_product_info_display.php

Or just click on ANY product to goto the product page, and the images will be broken. I further investigated this problem and found that somewhere, all the files are having a '_MED' tag attatched to the end...

How can I fix this.

I don't know exactly what's causing the problem you are having, I am sorry. I have looked and I see that some images show and some don't - but I cannot tell you if that mod changed something or what happened.

Thanks. Yeah, I know it's very strange. The mod only has one file edited and it's the product template page. But you actually aren't even changing the page, you are simply adding a few lines to it, the lines of which I verified is simply a link. I have advanced php knowledge and I still am completely lost on this. After using zen-cart's search tool I found hundreds of documents that modify the image and add the '_MED' tag. But I don't know which one is right.

I fixed the problem with it adding '_MED' to the filename from the admin panel. But all images are still linked to the /images/medium/parts/ directory. When I need them in the /images/medium/parts/

I guess I'll just upload every image to both directories '/medium' and '/large'
It's inconvenient but I guess it's what I have to do. Thanks for your help.

Let's say your products_image filename is: calicocat.jpg

In the Categories/Products when adding or editing you would browse for your image and select where to put it ...

If you choose from the Dropdown the Main Directory ... this will go to: /images

So your image files for this product would be:

/images/calicocat.jpg
/images/medium/calicocat_MED.jpg
/images/large/calicocat_LRG.jpg

Additional small images would be:

/images/calicocat_01.jpg
/images/calicocat_02.jpg
/images/calicocat_03.jpg

Additional large images would be:

/images/large/calicocat_01_LRG.jpg
/images/large/calicocat_02_LRG.jpg
/images/large/calicocat_03_LRG.jpg

If you choose from the Dropdown one of the other names like parts ... this would mean you made the directories:

/images/parts
/images/medium/parts
/images/large/parts

And set these to 777

So your image files for this product would be:

/images/parts/calicocat.jpg
/images/medium/parts/calicocat_MED.jpg
/images/large/parts/calicocat_LRG.jpg

Additional small images would be:

/images/parts/calicocat_01.jpg
/images/parts/calicocat_02.jpg
/images/parts/calicocat_03.jpg

Additional large images would be:

/images/large/parts/calicocat_01_LRG.jpg
/images/large/parts/calicocat_02_LRG.jpg
/images/large/parts/calicocat_03_LRG.jpg

Mine does not work that way. I've changed a few things in the past. But I got it working though, thanks.

the regular-MED-LRG system is working fine for me in terms of having different sized graphics for different elements of the page.

they are, however not showing the multiple images on the product pages.

i have the cofiguration in the admin tool set to allow for it

all directories are 777

what else might i be missing?

P.S. The place in the admin tool where I set it to on is:

Catalogue > Product Types > Edit Layout > Show Product Additional Images (set to on)

Assuming you used the templates and overrides and did not alter the original default files ...

Switch to Classic ...

Does this work correctly now?

Have you an URL to a Product and the directory/image files that you think you have setup for this product?
