Link to a catagory?

right i've got a few different categories on my shop, but i'd like to link directly to one of them from a seperate website.

Is there a simply way to link to an addres like www.myshop/upgrades/ with upgrades being my category etc?

Try loading your store and the category that you want to link to. It will appear something like this:

http://www.your_domain.com/index.php...=index&cPath=1

this would be your link.

... and of course, strip out the zenid if one exists in the URL you are copying.

Another option is to link to your sitemap.

yeah i gathered i could do a long link, i was just wondering if there was an easy way to do a short simple link to a category?

Why are you worried about the length of the URL? It makes no difference to the user.

Nevertheless, if you truly desire a short URL, cook one up

www.yourdomain.com/shorturl.html

and then use your .htaccess file (assuming you're running Apache) to redirect to the URL
as described by Kobra.
