I do notice as someone suggested that there are two <body></body> tags, which I thought might be a problem. But even if I delete the <body> tag in the home.htm template, the problem is still there.

Another thing I am confusing about is the side columns in joomla. Can they be there if I am going to use the ##############dex template? Will that be the cause of problem?

I really appreciate your time. But hope you guys can help me out. Even if it's just a few tips, or directions to some resources, that'll be terrific! Thanks!
Depends on how you are integrating Zen Cart with Joomla. (Hopefully you are NOT using Joomla's built in iframe function for this)

If you're using this template to "integrate" your site with Joomla, and you are NOT using the new Joomla modules for embedding Zen Cart directly into Joomla, then the Joomla side boxes don't matter. You would only be only using this template to give the "illusion" that your ZenCart is integrated with Joomla (when in fact the store is a completely seperate entity)

So for example in Joomla, you would edit your menu to include a link to your Zen Cart store. That link would take you to your Zen Cart store which will be styled using this template. The embedding file you create should be styled to match your Joomla site, and you would need to include links in Zen Cart to take you back to the Joomla site..

So in this scenario, the Joomla side content boxes don't have to be removed at all on the Joomla side..

Now some of this goes out the window if you are using the new Joomla modules for embedding Zen Cart directly into Joomla. I won't hijack this thread with any of that discussion.. There's some open discussions on the Joomla forum with regards to those modules.. If you are interested, PM me and I'll provide the links to those threads.

Hi DivaVocals, Thanks so much for responding. I guess I understand the concept that the two sites are in fact separate. I have a newsfeed module, but that's the only one there. I am not using any special modules from joomla. My joomla is 1.5 and zencart is 1.3.8a.

Could you take a look at the website for me please? www.sushi-franchise.com/sushi. I tried every possible way I can think of, but I am still getting double footer, and the zencart actually always stay below the joomla footer.

Any ideas? Thanks so much for your help!

So the big question I have is HOW THE HECK did you embed Zen with Joomla?? I'm not sure I even know HOW you would have been able to do this.. I've looked at your page source, and I am stumped unless I see your embed HTML file.. Can you post your embed file code.. (Please use the forum tags for this)

Here is the template file. Sorry it's a bit long. I basically used the source code for the joomla site.

Correct me if I'm wrong but did you include all the Joomla generated HTML in your embed file???? Because if this is indeed what you've done, this is part of the problem.. Before I post any additional information I need you to confirm how you created your embed file..

I think that is exactly what I did. I saved the joomla webpage as webpage, complete (home.htm), and got a folder named home_files at the same time, which contains the scripts, css, etc. I uploaded both the home.htm and home_files directory on to the server. And pointed the configure.php to the home.htm template.

So, what am I missing? Thanks a million!

Pardon me for being blunt, but your approach to this is all wrong.. Your embed HTML page should NOT be ripped from your Joomla site in this manner.. You do not need to include all the Joomla code, stylesheet links, and javascript links in your embed page..

Your embed page is an HTML page that is supposed to LOOK like your Joomla site. This is so that the transition between the two programs LOOKS seemless.. It's a visual illusion.

So for your site, if it was me, my embed HTML page would contain ONLY a replication of the top header & footer that's in your Joomla page. Then I'd add my embed tag between the two.. You'll have to know how to create an HTML page from scratch because you are not going to accomplish this illusion by simply ripping one of the Joomla pages and then sticking the Zen Cart code somewhere in the middle of the HTML. (Which is why you have the result you are getting)

If you are not familiar enough with writing your own HTML to do this, my strong suggestion to you is to look into the Joomla modules for linking Joomla & Zen.. It may be loads easier for you to install those modules..

    starge, not to nit pick.
But I think that you may be having some issues due to bad HTML, when you make your markup in a non standard way things may not display right.

you may want to look at upgrading your code to xhtml. there is a conversion program called html tidy that will do it for you.

Thank you guys! I would definitely look into the program JOsh just mentioned. BTW, maybe I should not ask, but DivaVocal mentioned the joomla extension earlier, which one is it? Thanks a lot!
