Hi,
I am also having this problem. It is infrequent, but still there. I'm running 1.3.7 with the latest patch for PP. I have Money Order and PP IPN enabled. I know this is not much to go on. I have not upgraded to 1.3.7.1. Will this fix it? Or, is this just a precaution. Upgrading, for me, is difficult.

I would do the upgrade then uninstall the PayPal module ... install both, remove the one you do not need, and configure the one you are using ...

When you installed the PayPal updates, did you set up PDT token settings?

First order from customer 1 came in at 16:56.
First order from customer 2 came in at 17:13.
Cust 1's duplicate order came in at 17:30.
Cust 2's duplicate order came in at 17:35.
Clear as mud?

Did you have debug log-to-file enabled when this happened?
Can you zip and post your logs from today for analysis?.
