    Default Transferring domains

    I don't have any items in my store yet, so can I just copy the files over to a new domain name and change te reference to anything on the old website from my old domain to my new one (namely the references in the "configre.php" files)?

    It'd be easier than combing the forum for all of my old posts.

    Much thanks in advance!

    Don't forget to edit the database info and import the old database into your new one. Then you sound like you got it

    I was thinking about that while I was at work.

    Hopefully myPHPadmin lets you transfer data between databases.

    If not, I can just reinstall and copy the templates.

    Thank you!

    I've transfered everything and altered the configure.php files, but when I went to load the store, I got this:

    Warning: The sessions directory does not exist: /home/whiskeyb/lucajo.com/cache. Sessions will not work until this directory is created.

    Also, the store is kicked to the left of the screen instead of centered.

    Halp!

    Much Thanks

    Just an update:

    I corrected the problem, though I might have taken the long way.

    I transfered all my files back to the other domain and did a fresh install on the new domain. Then I transfered all the template / language files from the old to the new.

    Since I didn't actually have any items yet, it was a breeze, though I was wondering which files I copy to set all of my preferences the same...

    Hi,

    I installed my cart in a new folder (shop) on my server and now want to move it up to the root folder.

    I understand the procedure involved but i am a stuck as to what to change the following entries in my configure.php file to..

    define('DIR_WS_CATALOG', '/shop/');
    define('DIR_WS_HTTPS_CATALOG', '/shop/');
    Any pointers would be appreciated, thanks
