    Default Importing database problem

    I am moving away from Fasthosts (spit) so I can use SSL correctly on terra network.
    I have backed up my datafile, backed up my ZC (1.3.8) files and made sure zencart is working on the new site.
    I have then uploaded my old files to the new host (remembering not to overwrite config files) and am struggling with creating the new database.

    I backed up using MySQL administrator and am trying to upload using phpMyAdmin.
    I keep getting the following error massage

    SQL query:

    --
    -- Create schema xxxxxxxx
    --
    CREATE DATABASE IF NOT EXISTS xxxxxxxx;

    MySQL said: Documentation
    #1044 - Access denied for user 'xxxxxxxxxxxx'@'xxxxxxxxx' to database 'xxxxxxxx'

    You have to alter both config files to reflect move
    of your zencart site and ensure mysql database details
    also reflect this change...

    The config files in ZC are pointing to database1 on the new host which is correct.
    I am trying to overwrite database1 with the original database from my old site.
    I don't understand what you mean by ensure mysql database details
    also reflect this change

    So you created new database at new host...is it named
    same as previous with same usename and password..
    TerraNetwork support should be able to advise you.

    Advice from my new hsting company

    The backup you have has code in it which tries to create a new database, which you cannot do using phpMyAdmin on a Shared Server. So you need to remove the lines that try to create the database.

    Although phpMyAdmin allows Imports up to 2 Mbs in my experience it runs out of execution time at around 850 Kbs, so I advise splitting the backup into two files.

    How do I remove the lines trying to create the database?

    If keeps timing out due to size of database then
    try big dump from
    http://www.ozerov.de/bigdump.php
    Used it many times...works fine if you follow
    instructions.

    Open the sql file in Notepad and just remove that line which tries to create the database:

    CREATE DATABASE IF NOT EXISTS xxxxxxxxxx;

    It has now imported (How simple was that?)
