tax is charged twice

Hi, I have zone defined as SC (South Carolina), , whenever someone buys any products and is from South carolina the tax is charged twice, CUD you tell me how to rectify this problem, regards:sanjeevg

Admin->Localization/Taxes -> Tax Rates .... how many are listed?

Hi

this is what is mentioned in admin> Localization/taxes> tax rates::

Priority: 1, Tax Class: SC 5% Tax, Zone: South Carolina, Tax rate: 5%

What version of Zen Cart are you using? Sounds like something got mixed up on you...

I think you have a hidden tax rate in your shop ...

Try this to wipe out ALL tax-rates and recreate:
1. Go to: Admin->Tools->Install SQL Patches
2. In the text field, enter this:

Code:

truncate table tax_rates;

3. Click Send
4. Go to: Admin->Localization/Taxes->Tax Rates
5. Recreate your SC tax rate.

I do not have this option Install SQL Patches under Admin->Tools->

I just observed that i have deleted the entire tax rate from the admin-> localization/tax rate -> tax rate, then i checked on site strangely it was still showing:
