Default Fatal error: while setting up gift cert.

I was having a bit of a problem sorting out gift cert so i thought i would replace a file with a day or two old file i backed up, the file was the: ot_gv.php in the order total module and then the module disappeared and this appeared:

Fatal error: Cannot redeclare class ot_gv in /home/sites/edenspirit.co.uk/public_html/includes/modules/order_total/ot_gv.php on line 10

I was following what someone else had said about setting the gift cert then going to admin and configure the module. It didnt work for me first off and didnt look right so i thought i have a back up that isnt that old it should be alright to stick it in and start again, or something like that. Wish i never touched it now.

also when i was setting it up it said not to put a price in, can i do it so that the user enters the amount they want to spend on the gift?

    Cheers

Make sure that the /includes/modules/order_totals has the ot_gv.php with the code in it ...

Make sure that the /includes/english/modules/order_totals has the ot_gv.php with the define statements in it ...

Make sure that you did not accidentally copy the ot_gv.php into either the:
    /includes/modules/payments
    /includes/languages/english/modules/payments

    or into the /includes/modules/shipping
    /includes/languages/english/modules/shipping

    Hi Linda

I have had a look and there is a ot_gv.php file in the folders:

    /includes/modules/order_totals
    /includes/english/modules/order_totals

but not sure what i am looking for and what do you mean by 'the code' and 'the define statements '. I am no programmer but i compared the two from the folders and they look the same to me, not sure if they are meant to.

Thanks for your help linda, i am a zen virgin but think it is great and the support is excellent and hope to use it a lot more in the future.

Paul, the ot_gv file in each of those folders are NOT supposed to be identical.

Perhaps you can re-upload them from the original Zen Cart zip...
