Default classic template, default template and custom..

what is the difference between them all? when i installed it.. i followed some of the sticky info on the board. it helped me create a custom template but i really like the look of the "classic". if i were to use the classic template would i need to do th esame thing as in create a new folder and call it another name?

Did you edit the template_info.php file in your new custom folder?
