Default Super stuck with setting up shipping rates ...

    Hello..

hope this is the right place to post this question(s)

    a) is there a way to change the weight of products from lb to Kg?

    b) Shipping... ok, i have one set shipping rule for all my customers throughout the whole UK... and i need to know how to set this up in ZC.

    for every 20kgs i charge £8 shipping

so if a customers order is 19kgs i charge £8, if it is 32kgs i charge £16 and if it is £50 i charge £24... you get the idea..

how do i implement that in ZC?
    Im totally lost & stuck

    cheers
    M

For the shipping you would use Admin>Modules>Shipping

    Disable current shipping modules

    Enable/Use Table Rate module

    Create your table rates

The shipping cost is based on the total cost or weight of items or count of the items. Example: 25:8.50,50:5.50,etc.. Up to 25 charge 8.50, from there to 50 charge 5.50, etc
You can end the last amount as 10000:7% to charge 7% of the Order Total

    Select "Table Method" - "weight"

I don't know if there's an easy way to change lbs to kgs, someone else will have to help you with that.

    Hi.. cheers for that

its not working... Do you know of an 'idiots guide' to this shipping business?... properly stuck..

I created a product to test this and i am clearly doing something wrong. the product's weight is 1lb.. so when i have 19 items in my cart the shipping should be £8. When i have 25 items in my cart the shipping should be £16, but it is not, no matter how many i have in my cart shipping stays at £8

and does anyone know if you can change the weight measurement from lb to Kg via admin?... or is it a code hack?

    cheers
    M

(im also having a nightmare with TAX too.. but that is a problem to sort out after this and for a new post)

Idea or Suggestion Re: Super stuck with setting up shipping rates ...

I have worked it out... for some reason i thought ZC would automatically increment the values...

it doesn't, i dont know why i even thought that it would...
god know where my head has been today! Oh yes, up my own backside!

Out of curiosity tho.. is there a means of having shipping calculated by weight and then overridden if the final sale price is over £100 to free shipping? Just wondered, for future reference...

now... my tax problem... New post for that i think haha
