Loging Into Admin Page

I have just installed Zen-Cart on my e-commerce website and the process seems to have been successful. I have SSL configured and working on the site. The last step of the installation process is:

Go to ADMIN > CONFIGURATION > SESSIONS > RECREATE SESSIONS... set this to FALSE.
(Otherwise users will not be able to log in to your store!)

When I try to log into the admin page I type in my username and PW, which I am 100% positive are the ones I entered in the installation process, I hit the login button and the fields reset to blank but nothing else happens. It doesn't seem like I have been logged in and I remain at the login page. I have tried:

1. Admin pages won't show at all, or show without styling.
In this case, try temporarily renaming the /admin/.htaccess file to htaccess_bak to see if things operate differently. If they do, then you need to work with your webhost to find the right way to use the supplied .htaccess security protections on your site.

2. Something may be wrong with the way your site is configured to handle PHP "sessions".
This is more difficult to resolve. Start by clearing your browser cache and clearing all cookies. Then check to be sure that you do NOT have any software firewall applications running on your PC, as they may have been set to "disable session cookies". Also, make sure your browser IS allowed to accept cookies, esp from your own domain. Check your server's errorlog to determine if any errors are occurring at the time of the failure to login.

If someone could please tell me how to fix this problem so I can get my store up and running I would really appreciate it.

Post the contents of your /admin/includes/configure.php file...Omit the user name & password

In the configuration file, I had www.shop.domain.com instead of just
shop.domain.com.
