well that may be true, but trust me you'll eventually want to upgrade LOL.
Look at it from this perspective. The first time I ever saw PHP was installing my zen cart. EVER. I am NOT a coder. To make your own template isn't actually much super php coding stuff. You make a few changes to a few files, almost all of which I found actually in posts here in the forums, copied and pasted it.... and then you change some CSS stuff in the stylesheet. The CSS stuff I also learned purely by trial and error, with the Firefox and Web Developer tool kit for it.
You can so do it!! Then once you do your first one and realize that it's possible, you realize you can do others for other things (seasons, special sales... whatnot).
Thank you for the advice but since the program does exactly what I want it to do I don't see a need for upgrades. Creating a new template when the one provided does the job just seems like adding another level of additional work for myself. I do not have a need to make changes for seasons or special sales.
