I am currently on 1.2.6d with quite a few modules added. I am considering upgrading but want to know if it is worth it? What are all the new things I will have? I installed 1.3.0.2 on a test server and from first glance, it looks the same. Thanks.

Looks can be decieving - run a file compare from your 1.2.6 to the new and look at the differences under the hood- Numerous bug fixes, security upgrade and NEW@ features.
WOW... I'll go upgrade right now!!!
Seriously... how about a list of actual upgrades... I spent probably around 30 hours doing all custom work and templates on my 1.2.6 version and am not looking forward to doing that again... Is there actually something enticing that would cause me to want to upgrade?
Also, is there no more support (security-wise) for the old 1.2.x? With a major code change like this, there are likely A TON of people who will not upgrade. Are they all just supposed to flounder on their own now?
If you download the latest version and look in the /docs folder, you'll see several "whats_new_vX.XXX.html" files which summarize in detail what changes have been made. Grab a coffee and a cozy pillow.

Does 1.2.7 address security concerns adequately enough to maintain a 1.2.x version for awhile?
I couldn't find this download. Is it on the system or SourceForge?
Thanks.
All the downloads are on sourceforge. The generic link is available by clicking their "files" menu option, which is rather obscure ... Here's a direct URL:

Thanks Dr.
What about the security levels - can 1.2.7 function with the same level of security as 1.3.x? Of course we'll be missing all those new features, but maybe putting off that upgrade time for awhile...
A number of improvements were made in v1.3 related to security. I don't have a list in my head at the moment.
Best advice: start planning your upgrade now. The template is the part that takes the most time, so tackle that first.
