Where does the database go?

I am new to zencart and to this forum. I have your arch rival (osCommerce) up and running on the net, but thought I could possibly do something better on Zencart. So I am going to give it a try.

I have installed XAMPP and Zencart successfully. Now I am trying to get my database from my other site to work locally on my computer. Where should I be placing the database sql file so that my Zencart site can locate it?

As you are using XAMPP you go to http://localhost/phpmyadmin, create a blank database, and then import into it a backup you have made of the online database - using the SQL Tab at top middle of the page, then Browse, and finally click 'Go'.

You also need to edit both configure.php files if the ones you have are from the online install.

If the online database you have is an osCommerce database then it won't work with Zen Cart.
