While true that submission to this forum's downloads area is the only route by which to get templates onto the zencarttemplates.info site, the templates mentioned by VJef would never be accepted there as they impose limitations that are in clear breach of both the spirit and letter of the GPL license.

So as I understood it is impossible add free template to zencarttemplates.info, isn't it?

On the contrary, it's very easy for individuals and organisations that embrace the philosophy and requirements of this community and open source in general. There is money to be made in the open source world, but you're going about it the wrong way - but that's not a discussion for this thread.

Although you have uploaded your template, I haven't yet included it on the zencarttemplates.info site as I'm hoping that you will be issuing a version that makes proper use of Zen Cart template overrides, and doesn't attempt to set conditions that are incompatible with the GPL license.

Uh, that's a tad embarassing. We used old fashioned frames as that was the best available to us when built the original site.

However, we're currently rebuilding it better, adding all the recent template changes, and moving it to a much faster server. I'll post back here when that's all done.

The IC_academe theme will not load for me, I just get a blank page, i can select any of the other themes and they seem to work, but not that one.

I am using opera 11.51 on Vista (if it helps at all)

You are right. Thanks for pointing it out.

I don't know what's made that wonky. However, we're in the process of migrating and upgrading the site and have already updated all the template sand added lots of new one, so rather than holding that up by going back to fix up the old site, we'll continue to focus those efforts we can spare on getting the new site completed.

As Zen Cart 1.5 has now been released for production sites, I'm pleased to be able to announce that the free template demos are now running on 1.5 too.

In practice, there are little or no changes required for 1.3 templates to run under 1,5, so the run just fine on the new version.

For some reason the page: http://www.zencarttemplates.info/ is not working. I worked for me this morning and I viewed 3 templates then, it stopped working. Is it my computer and how do I fix it? Or is it the site is down?
