Just some QUICK Pay Pal Info

I have been using Pay Pal Standard for 2 years now on my older version of Zen Cart, I am developing another site using the latest version not 1.3 but the one just before that. Did ZEN CART ever fix or figure out the problem with using Pay Pal new Payments Pro? I am setting up the account right now and wanted to check real quick to see if I could use the Payments Pro instead of the Standard so that this way when a customer uses a Credit card they stay on the site and only go to Pay Pal if they are using their Pay Pal Account. I am also getting ready to install a Credit Card Processor on my older site, so if ZEN can handle the new Pay Pal Payments Pro on any or all versions then I can just go thast route instead. I will continue to look to see if I can see this answer anywere, but would appreciate if someone knows the answer to let me know. Thanks very much in advance.

Zen Cart does not support PayPal Website Payments Pro at this time.

Version 1.5 will include a reworked and redesigned checkout process which will be extendable to work with the rigid requirements PayPal stipulates for their Payments Pro service.

Until then, Zen Cart does a fine job of using Payments Standard.

Thanks very much, I have never had a problem with pay pal in 2 years, I just need to put some text along side the Pay Pal selection to let customers know that 1) it is one of the safest ways to purchase online and 2) you can use with major credit cards with or with out a pay pal account. What i found recently in talking with some of my retail members is those who are not computer litrate either do not know what pay pal is, how it works or that it is safer then most other ways. Thanks for the fast response.

If you need to add peace of mind and accept credit cards directly on your site, there are many merchant services available. We have some on our Recommended Services page too:

I downloaded version 1.5 and didn't think it worked with PayPal Website Payment Pro. If it does, I'll get Pro as it's my first choice for credit card processing. Please let me know. Thanks!
