    Default Change customer id

Here's an unusual one. I need to change some of my customer id's in the database. I have migrated an MS Access database into zencart (successfully, read painfully) but for some reason, 20 of the customers didn't get included. I found the easiest way to get these 20 into zencart was to add them as new customers.

These members all have id cards issued with their member number (customer_id) printed on the card. I need to amend the new customer id's to match the existing member id's.

I have tried changing id's in the database in zen_customers (default_address_id too), zen_customers_info, and zen_address_book but when viewed from the ACP, no contact details appear.

Can someone point me in the right direction please?

only those three tables are affected.
    - customers (no need to touch default_address_id if just renumbering customer_id)
    - customers_info
    - address_book

That's what I thought but I can't get the details in 'customers > customers' in the ACP when I change a customer_id, or when I add a customer manually in these three tables. Doesn't the default address id determine which address details are attached to which customer? Not doubting you DrByte but are you absolutely sure these are the only references to the customer_id? I have spent a cosiderable amount of time experimenting with no luck...

What exactly "does" happen when you try to access these customers?

Well that's strange. I just ran some tests and it seems to have worked. Previously I could bring up a customers account page but could not see any of the details IE the text boxes were empty. Same on the customer side. Now I have just changed the customer_id for my test account and it all works. I guess I had some sort of caching problem.

Sorry to waste your time and thanks again for your help!
