Discount Coupon fakes checkout success?

We are having a similar problem, although it is not a location issue. We are in New York State and a customer placed an order from Canada.

The order went through even though the payment method is Gift Certificate/Coupon, and we have not configured any coupons etc yet. We can not duplicate this error; every time one of us tries the coupon is rejected.

We are running 1.3.8 with Super Orders and Edit Orders.

I hate to add another to the pile... but my client is reporting the same thing. Coupon is skipping payment page.

And I can't reproduce the problem. The above post makes me think 1.3.8 might not be the answer..?

I am also running Super Orders, and have Zones, and discount coupons.

Not even sure what to disable first any more...

if anyone has any further thoughts... please let me know.

Again, sorry to add to the pile, but we have been having a similar problem recently too. Of our last 100 Coupon orders, 5 have completely bypassed our payment provider (Secpay) and we have had to phone the customer and get them to give us their details over the phone.
We are based in the UK and of the 5, there is no geographical commonality, no product commonality, the 5 customers have a total of 37 orders between them - but only these 5 have been free.

Any solutions in the pipeline ?

From what I can remember this was actually down to a combination of a browser and zencart clash.

I have not had any instances of it since the cutsomer it happened too upgraded their browser to i.e7

And I have had no instances of this in any 1.38 stores. So if your not using the latest version might be worth upgrading.

Yeah. It was a long time ago. And I don't remember if browser had anything to do with it for me.

I would definitely recommend upgrading everything you can though.

And this might not have anything to do with it. But session storage keeps ringing in the back of my head.

Try toggling with your database/file session storage. And also, make sure if its file based that you have the correct path.

I know that was an issue with that site, and I can't remember if it was a direct fix for this problem or not.

But it might be worth a shot!
