Default HTMLarea missing after 1.3.5 upgrade

    Hey guys....

I just upgraded to 1.3.5 from 1.3.0, and now the HTMLarea editor is missing when I want to edit items.

I have the HTML Editor set to "HTMLarea" under Admin->My Store.

I even removed the old "htmlarea" from the root installation directory since the new files have been automatically placed in "www/editors/htmlarea/"

I'm sure that this is covered elsewhere, but I can't seem to find any documentation on this other than the release notes which say:

    * The /htmlarea folder has been MOVED into /editors/htmlarea
    * You should move your old files to the new location before editing, as this will make things go a little smoother. Note that a couple files have changed in the htmlarea folder to accomodate the new folder path.

And if you use the manual setting above the Product listing? And just sort of fool with switching back and forth?

That still doesn't do anything. The manual dropdown box is set to "HTMLarea." I went ahead and switched it to "Plain Text" and then back again, thinking that this may toggle something in the database after the upgrade. However, I still don't see any HTML Editor on my products page.

Any other ideas? Is there something I need to uncomment or check in the DB?

The database has nothing to do with the editor other than offer a store-wide default setting when you first open your browser and admin area.

If HTMLarea or any other editor is not "running" even though selected, it is because the javascript files for the editor are not being loaded properly, either due to permissions problems, files-not-found, browser cache problems, local PC firewall/ad-block settings, or browser settings having javascript disabled/blocked.

In the case of 1.3.5, things were moved around somewhat.

About 30 files in the admin were touched in order to expand the ability for other editors. If you have customizations to those files and haven't fully merged the changes, you may run into troubles.

If you set up a fresh 1.3.5 on your server in another folder, do you have the same problem?
If not, then one or more of the files on your server isn't up to date properly.

    DrByte,

Thanks for pointing me in the right direction. I ended up looking at my fresh demo install of 1.3.5 and it worked fine.

This led me to believe that my FTP Client program screwed up some file in the data transfer. So I reuploaded the "Editors" folder into the main zencart directory of my live store, and now everything seems to work fine!

Thanks again for the wonderful and consistent support!
