Paypal - switching into a test mode
does anyone know where you can set the test mode for the paypal module?
I have 1.3.0.2 install of Zencart. I need to be able to set the definition MODULE_PAYMENT_PAYPAL_TESTING accordingly. I can see all the tests for it within the code and according to this thread its set within the db:
http://www.zen-cart.com/forum/showth...PAYPAL_TESTING
I just can't for the life of me figure out where you set/unset it? I imagine it should be in :
admin -> modules -> payment -> Paypal IPN
But it ain't. Have I missed something obvious?
cheers

Re: Paypal - switching into a test mode
Those "testing" features were for debugging purposes only.
In v1.3.5 there have been improvements and options added so you can do your own troubleshooting from within the Admin area.
But this is intended to troubleshoot "failed" payments.

Re: Paypal - switching into a test mode
What exactly are you trying to "test"?
If you're wanting to do "fake" transactions, you should NOT.
You should do REAL transactions, and then refund them. Otherwise you have not really proven anything.
Real transactions are your only proof that things are working.

Re: Paypal - switching into a test mode
interesting,
Its was the payment process I was trying to test so it looks like I was barking up the wrong tree. Refunding payments is the way to go.
I'll do it that way, and maybe also upgrade to 1.3.5 too. what are the extra paypal features in 1.3.5?
thanks for the info!
