    I added the USPS autofill to my 2nd site and it worked perfectly. So now what I need to do si remove it from the first site and re install it in teh proper order.

    Can you help me with the exact steps to do this?

    Let me add, teh 23nd site is running properly ONLY when I use the orders.php_USPS file. If I try either of the other 2 orders*** files I get empty boxes and red X's instead of a quick glance at the parts ordered

    I was sent over here from super orders.

    they told me this is a click and ship error:

    I just installed 1.3.9h and this is my first install of super orders, click and ship, edit orders and ty tracker..checked and rechecked all modifications and uploads ...whew!

    This is the error. It falls after the product listing on the super orders detail page:

    Code:
    1054 Unknown column 'total_weight' in 'field list'
    in:
    [select total_weight from orders where orders_id = '10727']
    If you were entering information, press the BACK button in your browser and re-check the information you had entered to be sure you left no blank fields.

    there were more errors...so I deleted the files and it seems things are back to normal.

    would love to know of an update for this mod for 1.3.9h

    do i need to find a sql statement to run to delete the table?

    lots more bugs showed up when I filled out the 19 items in the config.

    previous to that it seemed to be working just fine..button there and click through to usps worked...but just the superorders error on the detail page.

    after filling out the 19 items, no button, and the error above showed on all relevant pages in admin.

    Not a Super Orders issue.. Unknown column means that there is a missing DB column.. This is a sign of an incomplete installation.. Did you run the SQL file that comes with THIS module??

    thanks...I'll just redo everything i guess...too many weeks have gone by and it gets hard to make sense of my notes on my installations.

    what threw me off, and i think it throws folks off..is to have these things conveniently integrated...but the code merging is so massive on some mods that it doesn't always help. gets confusing. the advice to install the common group of usps auto click, ty tracker, edit orders, before super orders i think is a mistake as the code modification to orders.php is substantial.

    Our decision to merge the required changes for this and other mods into Super Orders with only an admin switch required to activate them was based on the support questions posted over the years asking for help with these integrations.

    The inclusion of the required changes needed to the super_orders.php file has lessened the NUMBER of questions posted on the forum on "how to merge" these various admin mods with Super Orders. So I don't see how this is throwing anyone off at all..

    and let me state again.. We did not attempt to merge this or the other modules IN WHOLE with SO3. We only merged those parts which required changes to the super_orders.php file. This is precisely the reason why the SO3 readme explicitly states that the use of this integration code STILL requires the successful SEPARATE installation of the integrated mod or you will get errors.

    I'm not sure where you got the impression that this is what we wer advising, as we did not advise this EVER. In fact it is made clear in the leading support thread and the SO3 readme that you are NOT under any obligation to use any of the integrated mods..

    When we compiled SO3, we simply included the changes required to super_orders.php so that four popular modules would work without the shop owner having to know WHERE to merge/insert the required code into super_orders.php.

    We did this for two important reasons:

    1. To reduce the number of support related questions in this regard
    2. Because the super_orders.php in SO3 was significantly different than the version provided in the target modules.

      Therefore, it was easier to include the correct version of the file in SO3 than to create 4 or 6 different versions of the file for each module and update 5 or 6 other modules..

      We were not trying to support these modules simply trying to provide a means for them to continue to work with SO3.

    Bringing this back to USPS Click N Ship, if you do not have this module installed correctly it will not work regardless as to whether or not you use the Super Orders integrated code or not.

    The error you reported sounds as if the the install SQL required for this module was not run.. In our testing of SO3 and the integrated code, we installed USPS Click N Ship then activated the SO3 fields for USPS Click N Ship and all worked perfectly.. (and for the record, the order in which you install these mods DOES NOT MATTER.. you could install USPS Click N Ship first, then install SO3 afterwards.. Makes no difference..)

    I didn't mean for you to have to take the time to restate all that....but thanks ...no offense intended, I'm just frustrated with wanting super orders and not being able to get it to play nice when it seems the other mods work ok.

    Yes, It is likely that I missed a sql - found in my notes to double check that - and as I said, I'll take another week, like I have the time and re do everything, assuming it is my problem.

    It isn't always though, as mods go, like yesterday finding out that a mod i spent nine hours error checking turned out to be a flaw in the mod. Don't mind saving someone else that headache, but i need to get our live carts running correctly. Sometimes it is a 1.3.9c page that was integrated by the mod creator and you are trying to merge it with an updated page from 1.3.9h - stuff like that is the source of my frustration, not spot on moderators like yourself.

    I did read your above comment in this thread. I got my initial impression, however, of pre installing these mods from the instructions, but that was just my harried interpretation, I'm sure.

    Instructions: If you don't have any of these modules installed, but DO plan to install them to use with Super Orders, we STRONGLY suggest that you install Edit Orders, USPS Autofill Click-N-Ship, FedEx Automated Shipping Labels, or Ty Package Tracker BEFORE YOU INSTALL SUPER ORDERS.
    I'm sorry the rewards are probably few for helping maintain these mods to zencart....maybe why so many questions go unanswered in other mod threads. It is a great opportunity to both benefit and contribute in the forum for me, and I'll try and contribute as I learn....frustrations aside.
