Hi,
What permissions is there on the images folder and did you just ftp it up or use the admin to upload the photo for you?
My humble contributions....

If you have to think..... your obviously looking at the admin :)

the permissions on the images folder is all checked except the "write" option for the group and world.
i did it both ways.. i uploaded them and tried using the admin to upload the photo.
i just noticed that there is this at the top... Error: Catalog images directory is not writeable: /home2/mysite/public_html/images/

Try it with all options checked (777) to check its working and use the admin not FTP.
If its working under 777 then you can change it to something a little lower.
That error message is why you can not see any of the photos, you need to make that directory writable for it to work.

You must be changing the wrong directory at a guess?
Try changing the one it tells you about
/home2/mysite/public_html/images/
Easiest way to do this is via ftp, usually you can right click on the directory and set the settings there.

thanks man! it took the server about 5 minutes to recognize the change but it works now~
i made the 2 images.. one for the small thumb nail and uploaded the same photo but 400x400px and named them the same name but with _LRG at the end of the file name.. they aren't loading up the larger photos. i uploaded them to the same directory also.. do they have to have their own seperate directory?
I recommend you to install the image handler contribution so you dont have to worry about all that!
