I am trying to figure out how I can remove the new orders from the admin/index/php page after I have changed the order status from Pending/Processing to Delivered.

I would like to configure the page in such a way that once the status is updated to Delivered that the orders can still be found under admin/customers/customers and/or admin/customers/orders and at the same time, the admin/index.php page shows only those orders with the status of Pending or Processing.

I am not too new to Zen, but have been spinning around with this question for days and can't locate anything in the Forum or on my own.
