Ok, several questions here :)

1) I want to have a join newsletter side box somewhere on the shopping cart. I am not sure how to go about this. I do not see an option for it anywhere else.

2) I also want to import my old newsletter member list to the newsletter here.

3) Can someone take me through this step by step? thanks!! I read some of the old newsletter posts but could not find what i was looking for.

I am new to this and cant wrapped my head around this easily, so please, go gentle on me :)

There is a mod in the downloads section to allow subscription to the news letter and it creates a sidebox for this.

Fair set of instructions with it, fairly simple install, if you understand the tree structure.

I found it.....a main download and several bug fixes...i dont have to download them all, right? just themost current one?

NG will be releasing a updated version today or tomorrow, I would wait for that, it has a bugfix with the create_account.php file.

The "bug fix" will probably only be the create_account.php file...

The only requirement to use in current form is to copy all the tpl_subscribe_*.php files(4) from where you placed them in your /template/your_template/templates folder to the template_default/templates folder.

It also will fix a few more bugs that we found, it is more then the create_account.php.
