free shipping options - total AND weight

have a question about applying free shipping options to our postage. Is it possible to have free shipping on orders over $50 AND less than 2kg in weight.

Our situation is that we use zones shipping to have a domestic shipping charge (based on weight) and an international shipping charge (also based on shipping weight).

As an incentive to buyers, we would like to offer free shipping for orders over a certain value (lets say $50) for our standard kind of parcel (any number of items that can fit in a size 1 padded envelope) where the shipping cost is very predictable. However, we also have a few items that are very heavy and so the shipping cost to us depends on where it is going. In these cases, we would like to exclude the free shipping over $50 offer and revert back to normal rules.

I dont seem to be able to apply both conditions to the free shipping options module. Maybe not possible ??

Edited to mention that I am running 1.3.0.1

Is there a way of doing what I am asking.

You would have to customize the /includes/modules/order_totals/ot_shipping.php to include a second condition on the Free Shipping ...

NOTE: I would also strongly recommend upgrading to v1.3.5 ...

Ajeh - Can you tell me what PHP code i need to add to that file you mentioned above?

I changed the code in freeshipper.php to have AND, not OR, put to no avail.

Can you help? I'm going crazy!

Could you specifically state what it is you are trying to do?

This is a rather old thread and saying you want to do the "same thing" is a tad vague ...
