Free shipping options, restrictions

Hello. I have searched for the answer to this but haven't found anything to my liking.

I'm doing a special promo for my company's new online store. I want to offer free shipping on orders $100 and up. I know there's several fields in Order Total module for that, but the thing is it's a blanket option. It applies to ANY shipping method the user will choose.

I want to have the free shipping option to show up on the page where you select a shipping method.

Currently I have UPS, In-Store Pickup and a Flat Rate. I'd like the free shipping option to appear as a shipping option on that page so the user will have to choose between free shipping or paying for shipping via a method of their preference.

This is to control my shipping costs. You can see the economics in this if the total is $100 and overnight shipping on that item is $50. No profit in that. So if they choose free shipping they will have to let me ship the item via the cheapest method I can do.

Any suggestions?

Freeshipper options. I was trying it earlier with 100.00 as the value, but I tried just 100 without decimals and it worked. *shrug*

Odd ... mine works with either 100 or 100.00 but not $100.00 ...

Ok, I need an addendum to this thread.

Free shipping works but I want to do a promo where first-time customers get the free shipping on their FIRST order, but any subsequent orders will have shipping charges.

I know I can get it done with a Coupon and its amount set to $0 and free shipping checked, but the prob is that coupon will apply it to any shipping method they choose.
