UPS: Unable to get quote

I have UPS installed as my only shipping method on my web page. When I go in to test the shipping to see if it works, it will not give a quote from UPS and states: (We are unable to obtain a rate quote for UPS shipping. Please contact the store if no other alternative is shown.)
It will not allow me to go any further as there is no way for it to charge the customer with out obtaining the proper quote.

Why would this be? I have the module installed and have an account with UPS. What can I do?

Have you checked the settings under configuration / shipping ?

we had that problem on a client site and it was needing a max weight of 150 in order to work.

I had it set at 100.. It worked thank you!

Setting the max weight to 150 did not solve this problem for me...any more suggestions?

What are your settings in: Configuration ... Shipping/Packaging ...

What happens if you uninstall and reinstall and configure this Shipping Module?

What is the weight of the order that you are testing?

For Canada you need the UPS XML code in the Wiki for 3rd Party Software ...

after the customer login to my system and going to checkout shipping this message appear :

I have the same problem with both modules. Followed all suggestions with no luck.

The UPS Error message "We are unable to obtain a rate quote for UPS shipping.
Please contact the store if no other alternative is shown."

The USPS Error Message "-2147219080 - Missing value for Country."

Tried reinstalling with no luck.

Same here. I am getting the same issue with the UPS shipping module. I tried changing the max weight value and installing / reinstalling the module. My settings:
