Banners dont show?!

Current zen version 1.3.5, classic template w/override system

I know where I need to go to add the banners and specify a banner group and then go to layout setting, but it still does not show up!

I even uploaded the file to images/banner directory and nothing... I have turned all 3 banners on and nothing shows up... I deleted the original banner files that came with the program.

Any suggestions?

If I go to the banner manager and then edit my banner, shouldn't it ask me where I want the banner to show up in whether banner all, wide etc... if so it does not...

How about an URL so we can see if perhaps it is your browser and a popup blocker or your Anti-Virus such as Norton Internet Security or Zone Alarm etc.

What are your setting under configuration>layout settings for the following:

Banner Display Groups - Header Position 1
Banner Display Groups - Header Position 2
Banner Display Groups - Header Position 3
Banner Display Groups - Footer Position 1
Banner Display Groups - Footer Position 2
Banner Display Groups - Footer Position 3

Thank you, I did not have the layout setting configured with the banner group! The only thing is that the image is not below the footer, like I want to be. How do I fix that?

Nevermind, I got it to work. All you need to do is change the footer 3 to display your banner group. Thanks!

i'm confused a bit. can someone help? i have gotten the left sidebox and the footer banners to work with html-based ads for an affiliate network i belong to.

i would also like to rotate an ad for an event we're selling tickets to in the footer banner position. this one is an image banner.

the image is located in both:
http://store.inspiritcommon.com/images/2011snatam.jpg and
http://store.inspiritcommon.com/imag...2011snatam.jpg

i defined the new banner in the banner manager and assigned it to the same WideBanners group as the html ad that works in the footer. the banner url points to the store page where people can purchase the tickets this ad promotes.

in admin > tools > layout boxes controller i have

Box Name: banner_box2.php
Left/Right Column Status: ON
Location: (Single Column ignores this setting) LEFT
Left/Right Column Sort Order: 99
Single Column Sort Order: 1
Single Column Status: OFF

and

Box Name: banner_box.php
Left/Right Column Status: OFF
Location: (Single Column ignores this setting) LEFT
Left/Right Column Sort Order: 300
Single Column Sort Order: 9
Single Column Status: ON

in admin > configurations >layout settings i have

Banner Display Groups - Side Box banner_box2 SideBox-Banners
Banner Display Groups - Footer Position 3 WideBanners

the sidebox and footer banner work when only the html banners are active. when i activate the image banner for the footer position, neither ad shows up. when i try to just have the image ad active, neither banner shows up.

what am i missing? is there a maximum number of banners in a group?

oh, the html banners both work (and the image one does not) only when

Banner Display Groups - Footer Position 1 WideBanners
Banner Display Groups - Footer Position 2 WideBanners

are defined as well.

am i misunderstanding? are banner groups meant to hold multipble banners that rotate at the position as defined in the layout settings? is it that i'm trying to mix html and image banners in a group?
