Pennsylvania Sales Tax

Hi - This is a 2 part question:
1 - How do I set up PA sales tax (6%) to be charged against PA Buyers based on shipping address
2 - How do I get the order confirmation screen to show both billing and shipping addresses

The cart invoice should show a shipping address automatically.

I'm also setting up a retail site based in Pennsylvania. Just to clairfy (from my understanding after talking with the nice tax lady) Is that.. Shipping Addresses in PA need to be charged Sales Tax, regardless of buyer/billing address. It's like being from NY and walking into a PA store. You pay the sales tax there, even if your credit card is billed to NY state.

And on another note for PA Sales tax, Freight is also taxed.

Please correct me if I'm wrong.

Hi -

The standard instructions did not help. It seems that I can only set the tax up on the primary or default address. My understanding of PA Sales Tax is that it is charged only if I ship from PA (where I am) to PA. So, if someone in PA buys a present for someone in Calif and specifies it as the shipping address, then I do not charge tax. And, if someone in Calif ships a present to PA, then I do charge tax.

Zen-cart does not appear to support this. Or, I haven't figured how to configure.

Zen charges based on the values you have set in Admin / My Store which allows you to change it from based on shipping address, billing address, etc.

Check your settings there.

Thanks - That got it. I set my basis to store for both product and shipping. It seems to work correctly. Also, I did not realize the shipping address is changed on the 3 confirmation panel. It would be nice if both were displayed on the same panel - less confusion

Really test your setting ...

You said PA taxes are based on Ship to ... but you then said you set this to Store ...

Make sure Ohio isn't getting taxed ...
