ColumnLeft background-color not working

Hello all,

I'm trying to set the background-color for my left nav pane to #232327, but for some reason it's just not taking.

in the css file I have

/*sideboxes*/
.columnLeft {
          background-color: #232327;
          }

And yet, the color remains white...

I'm sure one of you guru's can figure this one out in your sleep, but for the life of me, I cannot

Is it possible that the source-code on the page is over-riding the css in the stylesheet?

A url does cut down on the response and the validity of a solution.

If you are actually talking about the background that the sideboxes float over this is controlled by

Code:

#navColumnOne {
	background-color: #FFFFFF;
	}

Thank you both, Barco and Kobra,

The reason there was not a url posted is because the site is not loaded to an online server as yet, it's being developped and tweaked offline.

However, the fix you mentioned Kobra, is exactly what was wrong, strangely enough, when I did the find yesterday it couldn't find a columnone, but I guess I mispelled something... :)

In any case, it is now the right color, and the look matches the site we were moving from. I'm working to day to upload it to a "live" test site, and will see how the different browsers react to the changes.
