Default Display-only attributes: show side by side?

I asked this question earlier but perhaps this is a better way to put it. (No replies yet...)

I see that when I have multiple display-only attributes, they're listed vertically - after the option's name. Thus:

    Code:
           S
    Sizes M
           L
           XL
But I need them to display this way:

    Sizes: S, M, L, XL

This is a "showcase" cart so this sort of text-only display is what I need. There are actually two lines of info, - "Sizes" and "Colours" - and I need 'em one right above the other, nice and compact.

    Any hints much appreciated!

    Thanks,
    Adam

I found the answer - in case anyone else wonders...

It was in includes/modules/attributes.php - the file that actually produces the attributes list.

I went through it carefully with a fine tooth comb and found a "<br />" that simply needed to be changed to a ", ".

    Voila!

Of course I made the change in my own copy of the file located at:

    includes/modules/MY_TEMPLATE/attributes.php

Idea or Suggestion Re: Display-only attributes: show side by side?

Ok, check it all. I have looked and scoured for the answer to this question: How to put the attributes into two columns or side by side as opposed to the daunting file line. If you use the zip file offered in that attached file that I downloaded from another solution page.

Then go in and replace every instance of this: <br class="clearBoth" /> with this: <br class="," />

As mentioned above, only it is every instance rather than one. I found three total and it worked perfectly! Of course I also implemented an earlier suggestion I found that mentioned to modify the attibute sort order by starting with the number "2" (so now I am skipping/not using "1" or "0" as a sort order).

Now who's to say which solution is the one or if it is a combination of the three, but either way, the end result did exactly what I wanted resulting with my attributes in two columns. Success at last!
