Shipping Weight ?

I have a t-shirt business on the internet. I don't know how to do the shipping weight correctly. I need to be able to put in the weight of the t-shirt in the "products shipping weight" and have the weight of the box be added in a different place. My problem is coming because I have the weight of the product and box in the "product shipping weight". But if a person orders 3 on my products then they are now paying for 3 different boxes, when 3 products can fit in one box. Also I need to know a way to make the cart change the size of the box to a larger box, once the person has added more than 3 products. Does anyone know how to do this?

Use only the product weight in the Shipping Weight and adjust for the box in the Admin> Configuration> Shipping and Packaging> Tare weight
