Instal issues - No stylesheet? or somthing like that...

Hi All,

I have just installed Zen Cart onto my domain. It's the first time I have installed Zen Cart, but i have used OS commerce for at least 4 different stores, and have been through a few local installations too.

I have a problem, the Zen Cart pages do not show correctly. the boxes , tables and text all display fine, but withuot colour and some images. I'm hoping I have missed something obvious.

the original instal was on 5.x.x MySQL database, I thought this would be the problem, but have exactly the same on my 4.1.11 db.

I have double checked the entire installation and all files are on the server.

I have also installed OS commerce, latest version and this does not work either.

Would someone have a quick look? Hopefully you will see something that i am missing.

First thing is to set 644 permission for includes/configure.php fiile

hey, yeah i have done that, not on the current install just yet, but i've been through the install loads of times , with that done.

I'm just changing it now though, any other thoughts?

See if you have an .htaccess file interferring with your site ...

Rename any you see in the /store to .htaccess_HIDE and any that you see a level above to .htaccess_HIDE

Is this a windows or unix server?

still renaming htaccess files, nearly there!

Ahhhh...

Just renamed the uppermost htaccess file, i can see things.

Right ,all fixed.

So if your tables are apearing, all looking quite empty with only a few images showing; the various links and catagorys work but appear incorrectly, Check the htaccess files in includes/ and admin/includes/

I have renamed these (deleted them basically) and all displays fine.

You may want to try to discover "why" this happens as it does not happen on most unix sites ...
