Generic Image Hosting

In zencart is there an area where you can upload generic images to the server such as my website banners or general graphics to be used elsewhere? Where would I upload them and view them?

Graphics that you want to use for your site? Or an upload facility inside the cart for customers to upload?

You can view the image locally, are you wanting to see what it looks like on the web page? If so dowenload as start template or create one and then upload images properly named to prevent having to change code, to the includes/templates/your_template_name/images directory

logo standard name = logo.gif
head background image = header_bg.jpg

File types must match or you will have to edit code to correct.

Allow me to be more clear. I want to upload some banner images/grafics to my website, so that they can be used elsewhere on the web. With a URL looking like this:

www.site.com/images/banner1.gif

Where can I upload these "generic" images, I call them "generic" because they are not associated with products.

Where is images/banners? Is this through the admin?

Configuration -> Images - doesn't have any banner area....

No - via FTP...or, if you've been doing without FTP and uploading everything through your host's Control Panel, you can access it that way.

I might only add that if these are to be linked to from elsewhere, that the /pub directory might be a favorable location??
