    Default Orders Not Appearing

I've read through other threads, but I can't find the solution to my problem in them. I've been using Zen Cart since April 2006...everything worked properly. A few days ago, however, my orders stopped showing up in the admin area.

I'm receiving notification that PayPal payment has been made.
I'm not receiving order confirmation, nor are my customers.
The orders aren't showing in the admin area.
Customers can't access their downloads, and there's no history of the order in their account area.

So, not having success in finding a solution, I upgraded my cart to the newest version...and NOW I'm getting the message that my database appears to need patching to a higher level.

I'm not a programmer...and have very little knowledge about how these things work, so I hired someone from getafreelancer and it was promised to be repaired within a certain time frame - which has passed.

I'm losing quite a bit of money (by my standards) every day by not having a functional cart, and it's wearing on my soundness of mind.

Same here. I never changed nor upgraded anything in ZC.

I wonder... Anyone else experiencing this? This could be PayPal's fault, for all we know.

PayPal issues have magically cropped up in the last week ... on sites that have made no changes ...

Could you confirm on your PayPal account that your settings are all correct and that they were not accidentally reset or changed on the paypal.com site in any manner?

Primary Email matches exactly what is in Zen Cart including case ...

    IPN URL is correct ...

Everything as in what you did the first time you setup PayPal ... from the /docs

    Ok, just checked PayPal:

    Instant Payment Notification (IPN) On
Instant Payment Notification (IPN) URL: http://www.myezshop.com

I have no idea how or why myezshop.com is listed there. Should I put my the URL to my website, along with the subfolder zen cart is installed in?

    PayPal
    Instant Payment Notification (IPN) On
Instant Payment Notification (IPN) URL: https://www.myshop.com/~myaccount/ipn_main_handler.php

    ZenCart
    Instant Payment Notification (IPN) On
Instant Payment Notification (IPN) URL: https://www.myshop.com/ipn_main_handler.php

Alright. ZenCart seems to have auto-detected the URL since I followed one of the topics here about reinstalling PayPal module. And since I managed to get that SSL cert, I'm no longer using the shared SSL of the webhost (the ~myaccount https address). The emails are the same for both.

I guess I have to redo the order testing and see the results. Still, is mine really a URL issue? The shared SSL URL and the new secure URL are the same thing, right?

OK, I found this when I clicked on PayPal IPN in Payment Modules:

set your Instant Payment Notification Preferences URL to:
    http://mystore.com/subfolder/ipn_main_handler.php

in Website Payments Preferences set your Automatic Return URL to:
    http://mystore.com/subfolder/index.p...eckout_process

I've made the changes and hopefully this will correct the problem.

What I don't understand is why it worked all along until just a few days ago??? Somehow the settings were changed in my PayPal account.

Now, onward to the "database appears to need patching to a higher level" error message. After upgrading to the newest ZC version, I started getting this. So, I ran the install, used the upgrade database option...still have the message.

If you have this message ... does that mean that since April you have had this message and PayPal was working?

Or, this is an unrelated message to PayPal not working?

Or, you were upgrading this week and PayPal stopped working?

I got lost at the stop sign ...

PayPal stopped working. I upgraded my cart, and then started receiving the "database" message when I did the upgrade. Now, after correcting the information for PayPal (I still don't understand how it got "became" wrong in the first place), everything is working perfectly. EXCEPT my database still needs patching to a higher level.
