    Price by Attribute Combination?

Can I have a combination of attributes take a specific price? Rather than a calculated price...

    Example:
I have 5 sizes of my single product:
    Mini, Small, Medium, Large, X-Large

I have three materials that I can make the product with:
Black Marble, Rose Granite, White Marble

Now, Every single combination of the above attributes has a different price.
    Mini Black Marble = $20.00
    Mini Rose Granite = $22.00
    Mini White Marble = $24.00
    Small Black Marble = $28.00
    Small Rose Granite = $32.00
Small White Marble = $35.00 and so on.
The choices are the same for my whole product line... but the price combinations are all unique.

So, Do I just create a unique product for each combination (and use no attributes)? Or is there a better way. FYI the sizes have significantly different shipping weights (important).

Thank you in advance for any advice or pointers to an old thread (I could not find any and now it's 1am).

    Re: Price by Attribute Combination?

To put this another way ...

I can only provide a price when a PAIR of attributes has been chosen.
Picture a Tic-Tac-Toe grid, with sizes/weight running down the left side and colors running across the top. Each square represents a combination of size and color. For me, each square just happens to have a unique price.

I am unable to restructure the pricing so that, for example, all versions of the product simply increase by $17.00 when we move from the 12 pound version up to the 19 pound version.

I hope this helps clarify my dilemma?

Put the weight on the Size ...

    Now for the Prices ...

Something makes the price go up ...

Somewhere you have a base price ...

    What is manipulating the price?

Example: Garden Rock with size controlling price
    products_price = 0

    Attribute
    Option Name: Size
    Option Value: Small
    Prefix: (blank)
    Attribute Price: 20.00
    Attribute weight: 1
    Sort Order: 10

    Option Name: Size
    Option Value: Medium
    Prefix: (blank)
    Attribute Price: 22.00
    Attribute weight: 1.25
    Sort Order: 20

    Option Name: Size
    Option Value: Large
    Prefix: (blank)
    Attribute Price: 23.00
    Attribute weight: 1.5
    Sort Order: 30

    etc.

But ... we have some color issues ...

    Color:
    Red 0.00
    Sort Order: 10

    Green: 0.00
    Sort Order: 20

    Silver (costs $1.00 more)
    Prefix: +
    Attribute Price: 1.00
    Sort Order: 30

    Gold (costs $5.00 more)
    Prefix: +
    Attribute Price: 5.00
    Sort Order: 40

Unless you made the full matrix, you cannot do the full price all on one Attribute ...

But to lessen the confusion, you can put the bulk of the price one of the Attribute Groups ... in this case Size ...

    So you'd get:

    Size:
    Small $20.00
    Medium: $22.00
    Large: $23.00

    Color:
    Red
    Green
    Silver +$1.00
    Gold +$5.00

On Attribute Weight, you have the choice not to show this, just like all the weight throughout the site ...

Is there a product matrix module available to manage this? There was one in development over a year ago but I have no idea if it was ever finished. And now I'm back on a project that got delayed and need a product matrix that works.

    Thanks.
