Newsletters wont send - fatal error please help!

Hi,

We have 2000 odd newsletter subscribers and i tried to send out a basic newsletter today and got this error:

Fatal error: Maximum execution time of 30 seconds exceeded in

/var/www/vhosts/ry.com.au/httpdocs/store/manage/includes/classes/mime.php on line 236

Any ideas on what causes this and if i can find out any way how many of the newsletters went out and how many didnt?

All PHP scripts have a maximum execution time, which is set in php.ini

Having said that the script itself should not take longer than 30 seconds to execute, but that script is not a default part of Zen Cart, so I'm assuming it's part of your control panel.

Hi,

I am only using the default newsletter mailout feature of zen cart, so i would expect it to work correctly. Has anyone had this error before?

The point I was making is that the error is occuring not in Zen Cart but in your Hosting Control Panel - which appears to be cPanel. It is this file that is causing the problems:
/manage/includes/classes/mime.php

You need to contact your hosting company.

Oh ok, I see what you mean now. I am running Plesk control panel, how would I explain my problem to the hosting company so they understood what I need fixed?
