    Default Zencart root files

I installed Zencart into a file named (of all things) Zencart in my public_html folder. Now, if I want to call up the Zencart home page I have to go to "http://www.mywebsite.com/zencart." The web site I am working on is not entirely devoted to selling products so I want a "shell" site with buttons for the user to go to the catalogue and shopping cart to order products which will really take them to the Zencart catalog home page. I could have the button point to "http://www.mywebsite.com/zencart" to get to the shopping cart but I really want to eliminate the reference to Zencart altogether so that the address reads "http://www.mywebsite.com/zencarthomepage" instead of http://www.mywebsite/zencart/zencarthomepage" when the user selects the "order" button. I think if I place all zencart files in the "public_html" folder this will work except for one hiccup. If I do it this way, it looks like my shell index.html file will conflict with the Zencart "index" file and make it impossible to eliminate the Zencart reference.

How can I set this up and what files do I need to change (I know the config.php files need some changes)?

    zen cart has index.php
you can have both in place

    .html will take precedence

you can move em all up into the root but remember to make the changes to the configure, php files

Merlin, I'm not trying to be argumentative, but I'm not sure that ".html will take precedence" is an absolute. I think that the precedence depends upon the way Apache is setup. I think that if "DirectoryIndex" is setup with "index.php" first, then .php will take precedence.
