    Default Specials Price Rounding...

I've noticed that my specials prices are being rounded down instead of up (per pence).

I'm using GBP as my currency and have listed an example below...

    Price: £155.00
    Discount: 50%

Special Price: £77.49 (this should be £77.50).

I didn't find any posts regarding this when searching and was wondering if anyone could help?

How many decimal places have you got UK Pounds set to in your admin panel?

    It's currently set at 2.

The value of the currency is set to 1.00000000. Not sure if that would affect anything.

Just shooting in the dark on this one, but try setting decimal points to 3 places and see if it still rounds down. Basically, because integers are used (whole numbers) then if it is less than .5 it should round down and if it is more than .5 it should round up.

Look in the specials table via phpMyAdmin ...

What value is in there for the field:
    specials_new_products_price

Edit the special and type in 50% for the price ... what price is set for the special?

NOTE: the Specials calculation is just that a calculation ... when you create/edit a special and type in 50% this value is not stored but the calculation is immediately made and the specials_new_products_price is updated ... as if you had manually typed in the amount ...

The specials_new_products_price field contains prices. For the example in my original post the value is 65.9500 (it's without the VAT / Tax).

When changing the discount value from admin to 50% the final sale price of the product remains the same (£77.49).

65.95 is the price net of vat (without tax)

So with tax it will be 77.49.

The original item price was £155, but when applying a 50% discount it reads £77.49 (when I would like it to round up to £77.50.)

I'm beginning to get lost myself now!

What happens to the price if you edit the Special and just type in the actual price vs doing the 50%
