In sidebox categories; only show first and secondary level

Hi All

Is it possible to only show the first and secondary level of categories in the sidebox? For example;

TopLevel
-SecondLevel

I do not wish to show the subcategories of SecondLevel even though there are some under it. Because they are pretty long descriptions and don't want to wrap them around or increase the width. I'm happy with it showing in the main page anyway.

I would like to know how to do this too.

In the FAQ area it describes how to show categories and when you go to Layout Settings you can also see 'Categories - Always Open to Show SubCategories'. However, I have this set to 1 (on) but my sub cats still only show when i actually click on the category (in this instance Golf Balls). My site is here http://www.sorce.co.uk/logo-golf-balls/, I am using Better Categories.

Any ideas people? I've looked in /includes/templates/template_default/sideboxes/tpl_categories.php can't see a way to modify the code..
