    Upgrading to 1.3.6

    I hv uploaded 1.3.6 but in the admin area still says

    "New Version Available v1.3.6 :: New Release with Security and Address-Field Fixes
    Download Here"

    How can I fix this?

    How did you do the Upgrade to v1.3.6? What steps did you follow?

    Hi Linda,
    I uploaded the new version via FTP to overwrite 1.3.5. I did not do a file comparision. But all seems to be working fine... accept for that in the admin.. also on the bottom of the admin where it shows ZC logo says "Zen Cart v1.3.5/v1.3.6"

    Pls advise tks

    Did you run the /zc_install and UPGRADE your database? Sounds like you may have missed that step ...

    Before performing an Upgrade ... always backup your site and your database ...

    Yes I backed up my database and also ran the zc_install to upgrade database

    Check that all files from v1.3.6 were loaded to your site ...

    Check that the database was upgrade to v1.3.6 ...

    Check that the Catalog and Admin have in the configure.php files the same databasse, username, password and paths ...

    Somewhere ... you are missing either the files or the database upgrade ...

    If you run the /zc_install and hit Upgrade ... do you see the checkbox for the:
    Upgrade DB from 1.3.5 to 1.3.6

    Is the checkbox checked?

    Yes during upgrade I see upgrading from 1.3.5 to 1.3.6

    Also in the admin if I click version link shows:

    Zen Cart 1.3.5
    Database Patch Level: 1.3.6
    v1.3.6 [2006-10-27 18:39:12] (Version Update 1.3.5->1.3.6)
    v1.3.5 [2006-09-20 19:34:38] (Fresh Installation)

    When I run zc_install again it says:

    " Upgrade Mode Available
    Previous Zen Cart Installation Found
    Database appears to be Zen Cart v1.3.6"

    If I do DB upgrade again it says:

    "NOTE: Skipped upgrade statements: 14
    See details at bottom of page for your inspection.
    (Details also logged in the "upgrade_exceptions" table.)
    Note: In most cases, these failed statements can be ignored,
    as they are indications that certain settings may have already been set on your site.
    If all the suggested upgrade steps have been completed (no recommendations left),
    you may proceed to Skip Upgrades and continue configuring your site. more info..."

    If I scroll down says its skipped files beacause it already exists

    And you are sure that you upgraded all files on your site with the new Zen Cart v1.3.6 ... and did not forget anything such as:
    /includes/version.php

    Note: if that file is incorrect, you best check all other files for being skipped or missed on the upgrade of your website files ...

    Linda I un-installed and re installed and now it shows correctly... may i did miss some file while up loading thks for taking the time. :o)
