Admin > Configuration > E-Mail Options > E-Mail Transport Method
Click "Edit" and choose: sendmail-f
See what happens.

Basically, what I want to know is what you have set for your transport method, your linebreak, HTML, archiving, 'friendly-errors', and 'must send from known domain'.
The combination of these settings will be unique to your server.
