    Default Remove Newsletter from Categories and IE bug

    Hi,

    Two more bugs to fix after much thread lurking...

    1. Under Categories and Newsletter...how do I remove the newsletter option. I got rid of the Newsletter Unsubscribe but I can't see anything in the admin panel to get rid of the Newsletter category itself.

    2. In IE6 I get some overlapping issues with the supplemental nav at the bottom of the page interfering with the copyright and powered by zencart portion. Does anyone else have this problem?

    My site is located here: http://www.thegoldworks.net/cart I think these are the last 2 problems I have at this point...any insight would be greatly appreciated.

    I had been working on finishing touches for 8 hours straight, so that was my big problem...looking at them the next morning made things a lot easier.

    Problem 1. Nonexistant, I could have sworn I had seen a "Newsletter Subscribe" in the Categories Sidepanel but after I took a break I realized it was not there. I must have been referring to the (Admin>>Configuration>>Email Options>>Display Newsletter Unsubscribe Link) that I had disabled earlier.

    Problem 2. Handy IE fix. I went into Includes>>Templates>>My Custom Template>>Common>>tpl_footer.php. My problem was that the bottom navigation was overlapping with the copyright information.

    I found:

    <!--eof-navigation display -->

    and inserted this into the line above it

    <br class="clearboth">

    it should already be defined in the stylesheet.css, in case you want to confirm you are looking to make sure this exists:

    .clearboth {
    clear: both;
    }

    I dislike modifying the php files, but I couldn't see any other way to do this. I'll have to remember it next upgrade in case I run into the problem again.
