Installing via Fantastico

Hello,

I've installed Geeklog/Media Gallery previously with Fantastico (from cPanel) and was told the way Fantastico installs the module is insecure.

I'm wondering if anyone knows if this is the same for Zen Cart? Much appreciated.

As far as I know, it's not so much that the way that fantastico installs these applications that is insecure as it is the fact that fantastico generally installs older versions of software that makes it insecure.

Honestly, I wasn't looking forward to installing zen cart when I first got started but it is actually quite simple to do and I would HIGHLY recommend you install it yourself over fantastico. I've done both and yes, fantastico is the easier, quicker way to install it, but you will learn so much more [useful information] by doing it yourself.
